Mr. Burton C. "Burt" Mosher, IV, age 54, of Newton, died early Sunday morning, October 4, 2009, in Hartford Health Care Center following in extended illness. Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Tuesday, October 6, 2009 from Newton United Methodist Church with Reverend John McCullough officiating. Interment will follow in Newton City Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to service time on Tuesday. Mr. Mosher was born January 2, 1955 in Panama City, Florida to the late Burton Cleris Mosher, III and Barbara Jean Fain Horne. He lived most of his life in Newton, graduated from Carroll High School in 1973, and attended the Emergency Medical Training classes at Wallace Community College. He worked as a paramedic and Safety Officer with Daniel Construction Company. He was a member of Newton First United Methodist Church. Survivors include his stepfather, Robert Horne of Newton; two brothers, Frank Mosher of Pensacola and Lehman Irby of Newton. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Dayspring Hospice, P.
