Obituary of Harry Herndon Holman

Mr. Harry Herndon Holman, 61, of Ozark, died Saturday, September 19, 2015, at his home following a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Saturday, September 26, 2015, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark with Reverend Mike Sigler officiating. Interment will follow in Claybank Cemetery with military honors, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M.
Mr. Holman was born March 17, 1954, in Ozark, Alabama to the late Dr. Norman Willard Holman, Sr. and Thelma Herndon Holman. He was a graduate of Auburn University. Mr. Holman served in the United States Navy as a pilot for fourteen years. Following his military service, he worked as a commercial airline pilot for twenty-one years with Delta Airlines. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Ozark. Mr. Holman was an avid hunter.
Mr. Holman is survived by two sons, Shane Holman and his wife, Honey Holman of Fort Payne, Alabama, Lance H. Holman and his fiancé, Laura Emily Arrington of Columbia, South Carolina; three granddaughters, Asah, Zoe` and Trinity Holman.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Claybank Cemetery Association, P. O. Box 946, Ozark, Alabama 36361.
