Mr. Emory Henry "Buddy" Warren, Sr., age 64, of Ariton, died Tuesday morning, October 26, 2010, at his home following an extended illness. Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Friday, October 29, 2010 in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend Randy Adams officiating. Interment will follow in Salem Baptist Church Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 P. M. until 8:00 P. M. Thursday evening. Mr. Warren was born December 13, 1945 in Cairo, Georgia to the late Emory Webster Warren and Clara Cornelia Thomas Warren. He was employed with Polk County Schools in Lakeland, Florida and for 25 years in Mulberry, Florida as a construction foreman, brick mason, and labor foreman. Mr. Warren was a very good bowler and was in league play at Boland Lanes in Enterprise. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed working on automobiles. He was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church in Lakeland, Florida. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Eva Warren; and two brothers, Charles Lavon Warren and John David Warren. Survivors include his wife, Betty Doster Warren of Ariton; three daughters and one son-in-law, Teresa McGehee of Ozark, Kimberly Warren of Ariton, and Karen and William Jefferies of Ariton; one son and daughter-in-law, Emory H. Warren, Jr. and Deborah of Ozark; one sister and brother-in-law, Martha and Wallace Hasty of Thomasville, Georgia. Nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive. Service Information
