Mrs. Michele "Mickey" Newmiller Netzhammer, age 82, of Ozark, died Saturday, January 24, 2009, at her home. A memorial service for Mrs. Netzhammer will be held at 11:00 A. M. Thursday, January 29, 2009, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend John Ross officiating. Interment will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Metairie, Louisiana, Holman Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. A mass will be offered up at 8:30 A. M. Thursday morning, January 29, 2009, at St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church in Ozark. Mrs. Netzhammer was born August 9, 1926 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Irene Carmen Wilkinson Newmiller and Phillip Jacob Newmiller. She and her son, Emile C. Netzhammer, Jr., owned and operated Creative Education Supply House for 22 years. She loved all sports, especially basketball and baseball.. Her husband, Emile C. Netzhammer, Sr., preceded her in death. Her family includes her sister and brother-in-law, Irene N. and Leroy Smith of Ozark; her brother and sister-in-law, Joseph A. and Marie Newmiller of Willow Grove, Pennsylvania; two stepchildren and their spouses, Carmel Netzhammer Brown and the late G. Gernon Brown, Jr., M. D. of Birmingham, and Emile C. Netzhammer, Jr. and Anna Belle Basanez Netzhammer of Kenner, Louisiana; grandchildren and their spouses, G.Gernon Brown III (Linda) of Timonium, Maryland, Blair Gerard Brown (Sue Gerone) of Tacoma Park, Maryland, Dr. T. Desmond Brown of Dover, MA, Paul Conrad Brown (Catherine) of Birmingham, Alabama, John Gregory Brown ( Carrie) of Sweet Briar, Virginia, Felicien Joseph Brown (Laurel) of Bethesda, Maryland, Brigid Glorioso of Mandeville, Louisiana,Megan Brown (Ruben Alvarez) of Bethesda, Maryland, Emile C. Netzhammer III (Lee Faver) of New Hampshire, Mary Sollenberger (Erich ) Metairie), Louisiana, Edward S. Netzhammer (April) of Dallas, Texas, Douglas A. Netzhammer (Karen Acosta) of Kansas City, Missouri; nephews, the late Phillip Newmiller, Richard Newmiller of Dresher, Pennsylvania, Michael Newmiller of Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, and David Newmiller (Donna Marie) of Hatboro, Pennsylvania; one great niece, Rachel Newmiller of Dresher, Pennsylvania; 28 Great grandchildren also survive. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church Memorial Fund, P. O. Box 1008, Ozark, Alabama 36361. Service Information
