Mrs. Debra Alexander Landry, age 57, of Newton, died late Saturday evening, November 19, 2011. Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Wednesday from Logan Road Baptist Church with Reverend Roger Stone and Reverend Charles Goldsmith officiating. Interment will follow in Newton City Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 4:00 P. M. until 6:00 P. M. Mrs. Landry was born October 8, 1954 in Union, Mississippi, moved to Jakin, Georgia, and graduated from Seminole County High School in Donaldsonville, Georgia. She was a graduate of Riley Business College in Dothan, and worked as a medical secretary in Midland City with Dr. Homer Lassiter and Dr. Luna Sy in Ozark. Mrs. Landry loved to play the piano and served as the pianist at Logan Road Baptist Church for several years. She also was pianist at the Pinckard Baptist Church where she was a church member. She was an avid flower gardener. Survivors include one daughter, Daisia Loyless of Dothan; one son and daughter-in-law, David and Jene` Loyless of Midland City; her mother, Sula Jean Vickers of Dothan; her father and step-mother, Charles Henry Hunter, Sr. and Billie of Philadelphia, Mississippi; three grandchildren that were the love of her life, Peyton Loyless, Hope Loyless, and Faith Loyless; one adopted daughter, Heather Moore of Dothan; three sisters, Cindy Steiner of Dothan, Betty Meeks of Ozark, Teresa Boutwell of Brandon, Mississippi; one brother, Charles Henry Hunter, Jr. of Brandon, Mississippi; and her cherished friend, Curtis Martin of Elmwood, Illinois.
