Obituary of LaDon E. Baker

Mr. LaDon Eugene Baker, age 80, of Ozark, died early Monday morning, January 9, 2012, in Southeast Alabama Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Wednesday, January 11, 2012, from Ridgecrest Baptist Church with Reverend Jim Hill and Reverend Harry Circle officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M.
Mr. Baker was born June 1, 1931 in Barbour County to the late Aubrey Lee Baker and Beulah Sutton Baker. He graduated from Barbour County High School and served in the United States Air Force with Strategic Air Command. He then worked as Manager of Production Control with various maintenance contractors at Fort Rucker until his retirement. Mr. Baker served as past Chairman of the Dale County Republican Committee and currently worked with The Dale County Board of Registrars. He was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church, and the Adult Men's Sunday School Class.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Mizell Baker of Ozark;
one daughter and son-in-law, LaDonna and Tony Spivey of Ozark;
one son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Connie Baker of Houston, Texas;
five grandchildren, Jeane Watson, Jarrod Stewart, Kohlton Baker, Keli Duggar, and Kaitlin Spivey; one great grandchild, Aubrey Watson.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Ridgecrest Baptist Church Building Fund, 1971 Deese Road, Ozark, Alabama 36360.
