Mrs. Helen Marie Flowers, age 83, of Ozark, died Friday October 29, 2010, in Dale Medical Center. Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Thursday, November 4, 2010, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend Robert Flowers officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Memorial Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M. Wednesday evening. Mrs. Flowers was born January 5, 1927 in McCook, Nebraska to the late Edward Otis Dike and Delsie Arbel Simmons Dike. In 1944 she married Lewis Wayne Flowers, and they made Ozark their home for the past 43 years where she was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Jane L. Flowers; and four sisters, Ona, Verla, Joann, and Peggy. Survivors include her husband, Lewis W. Flowers of Ozark; one son and daughter-in-law, Michael Lee and Mary Flowers of Ariton; one sister, Shirley Ann Dike White of North Platte, Nebraska; one brother, Dennis Paul Dike of Sacramento, California. Six grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Westview Memorial Cemetery Association, P. O. Box 484, Ozark, Alabama 36361.
