Obituary of Norma Sasser Wright

Mrs. Norma "Shorty" Sasser Wright, age 85, of Ariton, died Monday evening, July 2, 2007, at her home. Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Thursday, July 5, 2007, from Center Ridge Baptist Church with Reverend Andy Marler and Chaplain Don Grantham officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. Her body will be placed in the Church one hour prior to service time on Thursday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, July 4, 2007, from 3:00 P. M. until 5:00 P. M. Mrs. Wright was born July 11, 1921 in Barbour County to the late Frances Fralish Sasser and J. E. Sasser, Sr. Mrs. Wright worked for 32 years in Ozark at Mack's Cafe where she became a friend to her many customers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters and eight brothers. Survivors include one daughter, JoAnn S. Senn of Ariton, one son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Marlyn Hartzog of Mobile, two sisters, Sarah Smith of Fortson, Georgia, and Yvonne Kenner of Ozark, two brothers and one sister-in-law, Donald and Mona Sasser of Slocomb, and Daniel Sasser of Lakeland, Florida, sister-in-law, Lucille Sasser of Ozark, seven grandchildren, Robert C. Smith and wife, Sandra, Barbara Senn and husband, William, Charlie Smith and wife, Mary Alice, Debbie Sapp and husband, Harrison, Marvin Smith and wife, Kim, Toni Hartzog, and Kena Hartzog. Fourteen great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren also survive. Service Information
