Obituary of Martha Forehand Bowman

Mrs. Martha Forehand Bowman, age 64, of Ozark, died Friday evening, April 27, 2007, in Dale Medical Center. Funeral services will be 10:00 A. M. Monday, April 30, 2007, from the Ozark First Assembly of God Church with Reverend Greg Doss, Reverend David Parrish, and Reverend Royce Morrow officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. Her body will be placed in the Church one hour prior to service time on Monday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3:00 P. M. until 5:00 P. M. Sunday afternoon, April 29, 2007. Mrs. Bowman was born November 19, 1942 in Dale County. She was a member of Ozark First Assembly of God Church and was a retired employee of the Sony Corporation following 23 years of service. She was preceded in death by her father, Allie D. Forehand, and two brothers, Bobby Ray Forehand and Lomax Forehand. Survivors include her husband, Dennis Bowman of Ozark, three children, Gerry Pippins and his wife, Amy, of Enterprise, Tammie Atkins and her husband, Robert, of Montgomery, Morgan Bowman of Tuscaloosa, her mother, Jesse Forehand of Chancellor, two sisters and one brother-in-law, Margie and Wilmer Nichols of Montgomery and Paulette Leger of Level Plains, two brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Gail Forehand of Ozark and Donnie and Lana Forehand of Ariton, four grandchildren, Blane Pippins, John Morgan Money, Alyssa Atkins, and Alana Atkins. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The family would like to express a special thanks to the staff of Dialysis Clinic, Inc. of Dothan, especially Brenda 1 and Brenda 2.
