Mrs. Verlon Grantham, 97, of Ozark, died Sunday afternoon, March 27, 2005, in Dale Medical Center. Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Tuesday, March 29, 2005, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend Tommy West and Reverend W. L. Sheffield officiating. Interment will follow in Chalkhead Baptist Church Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 A. M. until service time Tuesday morning. Mrs. Grantham was a native of the Ewell Community of Dale County where she was a lifelong member of Chalkhead Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Malcolm Grantham, three sisters, and one brother. Survivors include two sons, Mitchell Grantham and his wife, Dolly, and Melvin Grantham and his wife, Donna, all of Ozark, two grandchildren Dennis Grantham and his wife, Rita, and Shannon Noftz and her husband, Chris, all of Millbrook, Alabama. Two great grandchildren, Alex and Rachael Grantham, also survive.
