Obituary of Ray Raymond Sanders

Mr. Ray Sanders, age 87, of Ozark, died Friday, February 23, 2007, in Calhoun Liberty Hospital in Blountstown, Florida. Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Wednesday, February 28, 2007 from Rocky Head Baptist Church with Reverend Farrell Boyd officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. His body will be placed in the Church one hour prior to service time on Wednesday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M. Tuesday evening. Mr. Sanders was born November 18, 1919 in Barbour County to the late Nora Baker Sanders and Sim Sanders. He lived most of his life in Ozark and worked with the Barkett family for many years until his retirement. In addition to his parents, Mr. Sanders was preceded in death by his wife, Bessie Sanders, a daughter, Sandra Jean Sanders Lewis, and a son, Jimmy Ray Sanders. Survivors include seven daughters and four sons-in-law, Linda and Floyd Madrid of Germany, Patricia and Dr. Harry Robinson of Medina, Minnesota, Millie Sue Drum of Eue Claire, Wisconsin, Debbie Sanders of Ozark, Omega Sanders of Smyrna, Georgia, Clarissa and Tony Lamar of Eue Claire, Wisconsin, Shirley and Tom Gallaspie of Ozark, four sons and two daughters-in-law, Billy and Doris Sanders of Churchville, Maryland, Bobby and Sherry Sanders of Blountstown, Florida, Jeffrey Sanders of Ozark, and John Sanders of Las Vegas, Nevada. 24 grandchildren and many great grandchildren also survive. Pallbearers will be Chris Murphy, Bobby Ray Sanders, Glenn Smith, Arron Lambreth, Thomas Gallaspie, and Michael Gallaspie. Service Information
