Obituary of Naomi Woodard MaGuire

Mrs. Naomi Woodard MaGuire, age 77, of Level Plains, died Saturday evening, April 14, 2007 at her home following an extended illness. Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Wednesday, April 18, 2007, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Chaplain Don Grantham and Reverend Kenneth Earles officiating. Interment will follow in Elam Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 P. M. until 8:00 P. M. Tuesday evening. Mrs. MaGuire was born January 7, 1930 in Dale County to the late Lula Ladora Thompson Woodard and Bascom Porter Woodard. She attended Elamville School System and worked in shirt factories from the early 1960's until the mid 1970's. Mrs. MaGuire enjoyed cooking, crafts, fishing, and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert A. Stafford and James Patrick MaGuire, her sister, Nell Portwood, and her brother, Hayward Woodard. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Wilma and Doug Smith of Enterprise, one son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Lorraine Stafford of Lawrenceville, Georgia, one sister and brother-in-law, Miriam and Roy Stafford of Clio, four grandchildren, Denise Holly, Derek Smith, Korie Brashears, and Ashli Stafford, eleven great grandchildren, Brandon Mott, Michael Mott, Tyler Holly, Tiffany Holly, Julie Holly, Aaron Riley, Logan Riley, Derrick Riley, Emily Smith, Kali Bridges, and Olivia Brashears.
