Mrs. Mary Turner, age 70, of Newton, died Monday, October 9, 2006, in Flowers Hospital following an extended illness. Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Wednesday, October 11, 2006, from Moore's Chapel Assembly of God Church with Reverend Paula Bond and Reverend Robert Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. Her body will be placed in the Church one hour prior to service time on Wednesday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 P. M. until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday evening. Mrs. Turner was born July 24, 1936 in Dale County to the late Vallie Miller Sullivant and Huey Blonnie Sullivant. She attended school in Midland City, and then began working with Dothan Manufacturing Company where she was employed for over 20 years. She was a member of Moore's Chapel Assembly of God Church. Mrs. Turner was a loving wife and mother. She enjoyed church and camping, especially at White Oak Creek. Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Wayland Turner of Newton, one son, Damien Wayland Turner and his wife, Kandyce of Slocomb, one brother, Billy Ray Sullivant and his wife, Shirley of Wicksburg as well as several nieces and nephews.
