Mr. Adolfo Lopez Serna, age 83, of Daleville, died Wednesday afternoon, September 20, 2006, at his home. Funeral services will be 10:00 A. M. Saturday, September 23, 2006, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with United States Army Chaplain officiating, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. Military Honors will be rendered following the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M. Friday evening. Mr. Serna was born December 1, 1922, in Mesa, Arizona. He served in the United States Army, a veteran of World War II, the Korean Conflict, and the Vietnam War, retiring following 24 1/2 years. Mr. Serna then worked and retired with Civil Service at Fort Rucker in Aviation Maintenance after 16 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Waltraud Modesta Serna in 1995. Survivors include one daughter, Cindy Hicks and her husband, David of Lucedale, Mississippi, four sons, Scott Serna and his wife, Mary Jane of Daleville, Taylor Serna and his wife, Cindy of Daleville, Pat Serna and his wife, Donna of Jackson, Mississippi, and Mike Serna and his wife Gina of Enterprise, three sisters, Ruth Sipek of Tucson, Arizona, Lucy Villegas of Safford, Arizona, and Emma Serna of Safford, Arizona, two brothers, Tony Lopez of Mesa, Arizona and Joe Serna of Clifton, Arizona. seven grandchildren, Erika Walker of Abbeville, Melanie Newman of Augusta, Georgia, Renee Toothman of Mobile, Ambria Paulk of Daleville, Alea Paulk of Daleville, Abigail Serna of Daleville, Kyle Serna of Enterprise.
