Mrs. Jimmie Lee Richardson Childree, age 88, of Ozark, died Sunday afternoon March 12, 2006, in Dale Medical Center following an extended illness. Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Wednesday, March 15, 2006, from Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church with the Reverend Joe Underwood officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. Mrs. Childree's body will be placed in the Church one hour prior to service time on Wednesday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P. M. Tuesday. Mrs. Childree was a native of the Arguta Community of Dale County. She and her late husband, Jess Childree, moved to Ozark and purchased Gulf Ice and Cold Storage Company.They later opened Gulf Ice and Seafood Restaurant where she worked until her retirement in 1974. Mrs. Childree was a lifelong member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, and enjoyed being a member of the Arguta Quilting Club. Her husband and an infant daughter, Melissa Jill Childree preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Kay and Alan Henderson of Ozark, Her granddaughters and their husbands: Melissa and Frankie McLaney of Dothan; Jennifer and Kevin Lamberth of Ozark, her sister: Mrs. Dean Miller of Ozark, her brother: Issac Richardson of Pinckard, and two great grandchildren: Ally Lamberth and Gray McLaney.
