Obituary of Thomas A. Hartzog

Mr. T. A. Hartzog, Jr., 93, of Clio, died Tuesday, May 10, 2005 in Ozark Health and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday from Holmes Freewill Baptist Church with Reverend Kenneth Earles officiating. Interment will follow in the Church cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. Visitation will be at the funeral home parlors from 6:00 P. M. Wednesday with the family receiving friends until 8:00 P. M. Wednesday evening. Mr. Hartzog was a native of Barbour County. He was the owner of Hartzog's grocery in the Doster community of Barbour County for more than 15 years. He was a member of the Holmes Baptist Church. Mr. Hartzog was preceded in death by his wife, Reger Baker Hartzog, one son, Thomas D. Hartzog, and one brother, Grady Hartzog. He is survived by: one daughter, Christine Segars Hunt and her husband, John, of Troy, two sons, Nigel Hartzog and his wife, Shirley, of Ozark and Ergle Hartzog and his wife, Jean of Clio. A special granddaughter, Debbie Baldwin. 17 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren also survive.
