Mrs. Bette Muree Olive McSwain, age 81, of Ozark, died Sunday, February 18, 2007, at Dale Medical Center. Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Wednesday, February 21, 2007, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with The Reverend Larry W. McMahan officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M. Tuesday evening. Mrs. McSwain was born March 29, 1925 in Hecla, South Dakota to the late Emma Ida Becker Lorenzen and Charles Matthew (Carl) Lorenzen. She graduated from Central High School in Aberdeen, South Dakota in June 1942. Following graduation, she moved to Benicia, California and married the late Robert H. Olive, Jr. They moved to San Francisco, California in March of 1943. Mrs. McSwain was a realtor in Malvern, Arkansas prior to moving to Ozark in 1976, where she was Assistant Manager of the Hiway Host Motel. She worked with the Dale County Library for two years, and for several years al a volunteer. She married the late Leon M. McSwain, Jr. in 1993. She was a member of St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Ozark. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Sunni and Johnny Jacobs, and Tani and Michael Spears, all of the Rocky Head Community, one son and daughter-in-law, Michael "Mike" Robert and Nell Olive of Ozark. Ten Grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren also survive.
