Obituary FROM HOLMAN FUNERAL HOME OF OZARK 334?774?5348 Ozark, Alabama Mr. Howard Eugene "Gene" Miller, age 56, of Ozark, died Tuesday morning, September 4, 2007, at his home following a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Friday, September 7, 2007, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend W. L. Sheffield and Reverend Charles Gann officiating. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 P. M. until 8:00 P. M. Thursday evening. Mr. Miller was born November 10, 1950 in Ozark to Mable Corene Rogers Miller and the late Dewey Howard Miller. Following graduation from Carroll High School, Eugene worked as a truck driver for Deloney Lumber Company in Ozark. He later drove for K & W Trucking and with Alabama Motor Express (AMX) until he became disabled. His driving career spanned over 37 years. Eugene was known for his love of family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Tania Maria Strickland Miller of Ozark, his mother, Corene Rogers Miller of Ozark, two daughters and one son-in-law, Gina and David Dunkin of Newton, and Jena Miller, three sons and two daughters-in-law, Kenneth Miller of Orlando, Florida, Kyle and Christianna Miller of Augusta, Georgia, and Eric and Libba Hartzog of Monroe, Georgia, three sisters and brothers-in-law, Sue and Gene Barefield of Ozark, Karen and Rodney Johnson of Skipperville, and Sherry and Harold Smith of Skipperville, six grandchildren, Cody Long, Dalton Myers, Jordin Miller, Emma-Sue Miller, Eric Tishaw, and Mitchell Tishaw, one great grandchild, Morgan Tishaw. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made in his memory to Community Care Hospice of Dale Medical Center, 126 Hospital Avenue, Ozark, Alabama 36360.
