Mr. Tommy L. Blakey, age 70, of Ozark, died Wednesday morning, November 23, 2005, in Flowers Hospital. A memorial service will be held for Mr. Blakey at 2:00 P. M. Friday, November 25, 2005, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend John LaCarter officiating, Holman Funeral Home directing. Mr. Blakey was born May 30, 1935 in Ozark to the late Stella Margaret Smith Blakey and Oscar Lennie Blakey. He worked with Ozark Plumbing, Heating and Electric for many years prior to working with Dale Medical Center for 25 years, retiring in 1997. Following his retirement, Mr. Blakey worked with Community Bank and Trust in Enterprise for five years. Survivors include his wife, Janice Mills Blakey, Ozark, one daughter, Sandra Blakey Glardon and her husband, Dale, Meridian, Mississippi, one son, Michael Steven Blakey, Ozark, one sister, Deloris Padgett, Florida, brother-in-law, Sonny Mills and his wife, Christine, Birmingham, sister-in-law, Jean Robson and her husband, John, Ozark, aunt and uncle, Jerry and Margaret Edgar, Ozark, two grandchildren, Linda Nicole and Joshua Taylor Glardon. Several nieces and nephews also survive. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association, 3125 Independence Drive, Suite 325, Birmingham, Alabama 35209. Service Information
