Obituary of Robert Felix Stinson

On August 24, 2007, Robert Felix Stinson quietly and peacefully entered into eternal rest, freed from many years of suffering. He died in Troy at Troy Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 27th at 11:00 A. M. at the Good Hope Baptist Church in Troy, Alabama. Interment will following the church cemetery with Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. Reverends Ray Stinson, Les Lee, and W. O. Sanders will conduct the services with special music by The Wilkerson Family, Reverend Les Lee and Bobby Lee. Visitation will be at Holman Funeral Home in Ozark on Sunday evening, August 26th from 6:00 P. M. until 8:00 P. M. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Carroll and Myrtis Stinson and a brother, Alvin Stinson. He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Opal Cotten Stinson of Troy, a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Les Lee, two grandsons, Bobby and Daniel Lee, all of Dothan, Alabama, a brother and is wife, James E. and Linda Stinson of Tuskegee, Alabama, a sister and her husband, Carolyn and Keith Meeks of Dallas, Texas, a sister-in-law, Jerrie Stinson of New Hope, Alabama. Serving as pallbearers will be Bobby Lee, Daniel Lee, Chris Childree, Vijay Nagpal, Curt Stinson,Jason Bowden, Christopher Burbank and Paul Bowden.
