Mrs. Dorothy Elizabeth Mooneyham Oliver died May 21, 2007, in Pensacola, Florida. Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Friday, May 25, 2007, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend William B. Easterling officiating. Interment will follow in Salem Baptist Church Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 1:00 P. M. until service time at 2:00 P. M. Mrs. Oliver was born in Clio to the late Noah Henry and Elizabeth "Lizzie" Clark Mooneyham. She graduated from Barbour County High School and received her nursing degree from the Ida Moffett Nursing School in Birmingham. She joined the Army as a registered nurse and served in the Air Force from which she retired with the rank of Major. Mrs. Oliver was a long time resident of Pensacola, Florida. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Grace M. Shelley of Pensacola and Marguerite M. Smith of Montgomery, and two brothers, Spurgeon Mooneyham of Troy and Grover Mooneyham of Asheville, North Carolina. Survivors include her nieces and nephews, Brenda Givens and husband, Howard of Foley, Alabama, Richard Tillman and wife, Melody of Pensacola, Tony Tillman and wife, Linda of Las Vegas, Nevada, Glenn D. Smith, Jr. and wife, Peggy of Hope Hull, Alabama, Elaine Smith of Montgomery, Spurgeon Smith and wife, Natalie of Montgomery, Martha Thigpen and husband, John of Montgomery, Betty Ruth Gilland and husband, John of Ozark, Elaine Pinckard and husband, Kenney of Troy, and Mary Ann Volet of Houma, Louisiana. Numerous great nieces and nephews also survive. Service Information
