Mrs. Jean McNair Dobbins, age 92, of the Echo Community of Ozark, died Friday Morning, June 9, 2006, following an extended illness. Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Monday, June 12, 2006 from Bethel United Methodist Church with Reverend Dr. Billy D. Gaither officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends in the Church one hour prior to service time Monday. Mrs. Dobbins was born December 18, 1913 in Waco, Texas to the late Katie Fitzpatrick McNair and Tom McNair. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church and a homemaker. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dobbins was preceded in death by, her husband, John M. Dobbins, her son, Jimmie G. Chessher, her sister, Josephine McNair Dobbins, and her brother, J. T. McNair. Survivors include two step-sons and nephews, Joe Dobbins and Jerry Dobbins and his wife, Faye, of Ozark, one step-daughter and niece, Elizabeth Dobbins Crutchfield of Wetumpka, Alabama, five grandchildren, John Chessher, Butch Chessher, Justin Chessher, Jerry Chessher, and Jannie Chessher. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, C/O Janet Brooks, 7300 East County Road 36, Ozark, Alabama 36360. Service Information
