Obituary of Harry E. Goldberg

Mr. Harry Edward "Goldie" Goldberg, Jr., age 82, of Ozark, Alabama, died Thursday, February 16, 2006, at his home. A memorial service will be held for Mr. Goldberg at 2:00 P. M. Saturday, February 25, 2006 in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home of Ozark with Reverend John LaCarter officiating. Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his memory to Community Hospice, 126 Hospital Avenue, Ozark, Alabama 36360. Mr. Goldberg was born October 17, 1923 in Fairfield, Ohio. He graduated from Rushsylvania High School in 1942, and was a Veteran of the United States Army, serving during World War II. Following his military service he worked with the Railroad retiring in 1980. Mr. Goldberg was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and Nascar Racing. He was a pilot in earlier years and loved flying. He was preceded in death by his parents; Rose Lee Shoyer Goldberg and Harry Edward Goldberg, Sr., and two sisters; Evelyn Ewing and Dorothy Jean Yoe. Survivors include his wife; Alice Houser Goldberg, Ozark, Alabama, two daughters; Melody Black and her friend, Roger Alcorn, Manning, South Carolina, and Jacquline Halloran and her husband, Pat, Columbus, Ohio, one step-daughter; Rochelle Sample and her husband, Bill, Trenton, Ohio, one son; Gary Goldberg and his wife, Linda, Albuquerque, New Mexico, two step-sons; Bill Breeze and his wife, Judy, Ozark, and Gary Breeze and his wife, Joyce, Waynesville, Ohio.
