Mrs. Beatrice Garner Scovill, age 86, of Ozark, died Wednesday, July 4, 2007. Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Saturday, July 7, 2007, from Ozark Baptist Church with Reverend Greg Aman officiating. Interment will follow in Holmes Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at Ozark Baptist Church Saturday from 9:30 A. M. until service time at 11:00 A. M. Mrs. Scovill was born December 14, 1920 in Barbour County to the late John Abe Garner and Bertha Ocie Trawick Garner. She worked with Civil Service at Fort Rucker until her retirement. She was a member of Ozark Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Edward R. Scovill and Harry L. Ferguson, and her brother, Ralph Garner. Survivors include her son, John Ferguson of Atlanta, one sister, Nell Ivey of Clio, two brothers, Trawick Garner and wife, Betty, of Ozark, and Abe Garner, Jr. of Ariton. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made in her memory to Wiregrass Hospice, P. O. Drawer 2127, Dothan, Alabama 36302, or to Ozark Baptist Church, 282 South Union Avenue, Ozark, Alabama 36360. Service Information
