Mr. Ivey was born in Graceville, Florida and has lived in Ozark since 1963. He served in the United States Navy for 30 years during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a Pearl Harbor survivor on the U.S.S. California, which was destroyed by the Japanese. He was also a survivor of the sinking of the U.S.S. Astoria. Mr. Ivey was a former Ozark City Police Officer, and served for 20 years as Chief of Security for civilian contractors at Fort Rucker. He was a longtime faithful member of Post Oak Baptist Church, a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his wife, Loella Ivey in 1997. Service Information
