Obituary of Sammy E. Odom

Mr. Sammy E. Odom, age 56, of Ozark, died Tuesday evening, February 6, 2007, in Dale Medical Center. Funeral services will be 10:00 A. M. Friday, February 9, 2007 from Camp Ground Baptist Church with Reverend Al Sonanstine and Reverend Harry Circle officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home directing. Mr. Odom's body will be placed in the Church one hour prior to service time on Friday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 P. M. until 8:00 P. M. Thursday evening. Mr. Odom was born March 19, 1950 in Panama City, Florida, making his home in Ozark since 1998. He owned and operated Sammy's Lawn Care in Ozark. Mr. Odom was a member of Camp Ground Baptist Church, and a sponsor of four children through the Feed the Children Fund. He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Earl Odom in December 1983. Survivors include his mother, Mazean Maddox Odom of Ozark, one son and daughter-in-law, Justin Lane and Marisol Odom of Orlando, Florida, one brother and sister-in-law, Eddy and Judy Odom of Ozark. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Camp Ground Baptist Church, 3898 East Andrews Avenue, Ozark, Alabama 36360. Service Information
