Mr. Blackmon was born February 27, 1923 in Ozark to the late Minnie Deal Blackmon and Bartow Blackmon. He graduated from then Dale County High School in Ozark and joined the Navy, serving during World War II. He later owned and operated "Bee Line" Grocery for more than 50 years. He was a member of Westview Heights United Methodist Church. Mr. Blackmon Loved gardening and working in the yard. His parents and two brothers, J. D. Blackmon and Paul Blackmon, preceded him in death. His survivors include his wife of 51 years, Mary Andrews Blackmon, Ozark, two sons, Jack Blackmon, Jr. and Roy Bartow Blackmon, Ozark, two special nieces, Bobbie Arnold, Ozark, and Ann Jerkins, Dothan, a niece, Diane Cobb, three nephews, Billy Blackmon, David Blackmon, and Jimmy Blackmon. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made in his memory to Westview Memorial Cemetery Association, P. O. Box 484, Ozark, Alabama 36361. Service Information
