Obituary of Mary Baker McDaniel

Mrs. Mary Baker Bolton McDaniel, age 80, of Kinsey, formerly of Ozark, died Tuesday, January 8, 2008, at her home. Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Friday, January 11, 2008, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home of Ozark with her son, Reverend Jerry Bolton, officiating. Interment will be at 2:00 P. M. Friday in Mt. Gilead Cemetery near Opp, Alabama, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M. Thursday evening. Mrs. McDaniel was born June 2, 1927 in Covington County to the late Icy Rosanna Cole Baker and Morris Livingston Baker. She retired from White Knight Manufacturing Company following over 20 years of service. Mrs. McDaniel was a member of Christ Life Church in Headland, and was active with the Webb Senior Citizens Club where she enjoyed playing bingo. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Hillman Bolton and J. T. McDaniel, her son, Donald Bolton, Sr., one sister, Deseree Foster, and two brothers, D. C. Baker and Marvin Baker. Survivors include her daughter, Sheila Bolton of Ozark; two sons and daughters-in-law, Tony and Beth Bolton of West Hartford, Connecticut, Jerry and Faith Bolton of Kinsey, Alabama; one sister, Ruby Skipper of Ozark; and one brother and sister-in-law, Willie and Eunice Baker of Lakeland, Florida.
