Mrs. Maude Weed Phillips, age 91, of Ozark, died Thursday, September 28, 2006, following an extended illness. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, September 30, 2006, at Rocky Head Baptist Church with Reverend John LaCarter, Reverend Joe Underwood, and Reverend Randy Adams officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. Her body will be placed in the Church one hour prior to service time. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M Friday afternoon. Mrs. Phillips was born October 29, 1914 in Dale County to the late Lena McKinney Weed and James Norris Weed. She was a member of Rocky Head Baptist Church since she was 18 years old. Mrs. Phillips was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Phillips. Survivors include: one son, William ( Bill) Phillips and his wife, Janice of Ariton, one daughter, Martha Jean Eady and her husband, Charles of Ozark, one step-daughter, Auralie Logan and her husband, Chester of Cortland, New York, one brother, Luther F. Weed and his wife, Jean of Ozark, two sisters-in-law, Ruth Ziglar Weed and Clara Hutto Weed of Ozark, eight grandchildren and their spouses, Valerie (Phillips) and Tommy Aplin, Tabitha (Phillips) and Patrick Dexter, Shannon (Phillips) and Ricky Hamm, Renee and Michael Bartoy, Anna and Scott Eady, James and Jean Logan IV, Walter and Mary Logan, Andrew and Pamela Logan. Ten great grandchildren also survive. Service Information
