Obituary of Elizabeth Blanche Juergens

Mrs. Elizabeth Blanche Juergens, age 83, of Daleville, died Monday morning, October 24, 2005, in a Dothan hospital following a long illness. Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Wednesday, October 26, 2005, at Daleville First United Methodist Church with Reverend John McCollough officiating. Interment will follow in Daleville Memorial Gardens, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M. Tuesday evening. The body will be placed in the Church one hour prior to service time Wednesday. Mrs. Juergens was born July 11, 1922 in Brockton, Massachusetts. She graduated from Brockton High School in 1942 and moved to Alabama in 1965. Mrs. Juergens was a member of Daleville First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Lawrence Paul Juergens, her parents, Ellen Elizabeth Dobby Prior and Clarence Prior, her mother-in-law and father-in-law, and three brothers-in-law. Survivors include one adopted daughter, Sonja Meissner and her husband, James, Daleville, two sons, Lawrence Paul Juergens of Canada, and Frank Wesley Juergens of Louisana, five grandsons, Levi Dahlquist, Josh Dahlquist, Chris Dalhquist, Codie Meissner, and Michael Juergens, her cousin, Catherine Derito of Massachusetts, two sisters-in-law, Edith Butler and Martha Juergens of Massachusetts, several nieces and nephews of Massachusetts, and many close friends.
