Obituary of Perry M. Woodham

Mr. Perry Woodham, a lifelong resident of the Corinth Community, passed away Sunday morning, August 6, 2006, in the Veterans Administration Nursing Home in Tuskegee, with family members at his side. He was 81 years old. Funeral services will be 10:00 A. M. Tuesday, August 8, 2006, from Corinth Freewill Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. Mr. Woodham's body will be placed in the Church one hour prior to service time on Tuesday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 P. M. until 8:00 P. M. Monday evening. Mr. Woodham was a member of Corinth Freewill Baptist Church. He was retired from Pemco Aeroplex, formerly Hayes Aircraft Corporation in Napier Field. In earlier years he was a farmer and served in the United States Navy during World War II. Mr. Woodham was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Bonnie Carr Woodham. Survivors include one son, Sammy (Judy) Carr of Slidell, Louisiana, three daughters, Lois Ann Woodham of Midland City, Colleen (Steve) Peterman of Rehobeth, and Ginger (Frankie) Wilson of Ozark, three grandchildren, Angie (Michael) Harris of Ozark, Ashley Woodham of Midland City, and Brent (Dawn) Blackshear of Rayville, Louisiana, and six great grandchildren. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Corinth Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, C/O Mr. Joel Mallory, 41 County Road 506, Ozark, Alabama 36360, or the Alzheimer's Resource Center, P.
