Obituary of Clyde Spears Hinderliter

Mrs. Clyde Lee Spears Hinderliter, age 92, of Ozark, died Tuesday evening October 30, 2007, at her home. Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Monday, November 5, 2007, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home of Ozark with Reverend Russell Burleson, Reverend David Willis, and Reverend Dean Allerheiligen officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 9:30 A. M. until service time at 11:00 A. M. Mrs. Hinderliter was born March 9, 1915 in Geneva County, Alabama to the late James C. and Ola Jane Beasley Spears. She was a faithful member of Westview Heights United Methodist Church, serving on the Administrative Board as Financial Secretary for many years. She especially loved gardening and was known for her beautiful daylilies. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, John Arthur Hinderliter, her son, Charles Edward "Charlie" Hinderliter, Sr., and her grandson, Charles Edward "Ed" Hinderliter, Jr. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, James and Michele Hinderliter of Pinedale, Wyoming, Dan "Ricky" and Emily Hinderliter of Dothan; five grandchildren, Sherry Davis, Steven Hinderliter, Kellie Goss, Melissa Edenburn, and Kevin Hinderliter;a special niece and her husband, Wanda and Paul Smith of Pensacola, Florida; special friends, Connie Burcham, Marge Womack, Diana Floyd, all of Ozark, and the Wesleyan Circle at Westview Heights United Methodist Church. Several great grandchildren also survive. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made in her memory to Westview Heights United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 1045, Ozark, Alabama 36361, or to Community Hospice, 126 Hospital Avenue, Ozark, Alabama 36360.
