I never had the honor of meeting Dr. John Ennis. I have, however, had the pleasure of working with his son, Michael. I recently had the opportunity to spend a brief time with the rest of the family. You are all WONDERFUL people and I am sure he is proud of all of you. I have been a witness to how strong all of you are together as a family and I believe that is something he helped build, and that speaks volumes of him. Each one of you are so compassionate. The time I spent with you, you were so uplifting to each other, never brusque. I feel so blessed to have met each one of you. I am very sad to not have had an opportunity to meet Dr. Ennis and share my testimony of how he has changed my life, but I believe that I have known a piece of him just by spending a few moments with his family. Thank you all for expressing to me what a wonderful husband, father, brother, doctor, and friend this man was and I believe that like a lighthouse you all will beacon his love and kindness to all you meet.

My prayers and thoughts are with the Ennis family. I worked with Dr. Ennis as a nurse at Dale Medical Center and feel I am a better person having known him. He was always an inspiration to those around him. We never heard him complain or feel sorry for himself. The most important thing to him was always making sure his patients were taken care of. Even after he became sick, he didn't complain. He just kept on seeing about his patients. He has been on my prayer list continuously since he first became sick and Pat and the family will remain on my list for the future. God Bless. Jan Hamm
