Mr. Fred Ivey, age 73, of Ariton, died Saturday morning, May 5, 2007, in a Eufaula nursing home following an extended illness. Funeral services will be 10:00 A. M. Monday, May 7, 2007, from Holman Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Harry Circle officiating. Interment will follow in Union Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 P. M. until 6:00 P. M. Sunday afternoon, May 6, 2007. Mr. Ivey was born October 3, 1933, in Barbour County, to the late Ada Whindham Ivey and Norman Ivey. He engaged in farming until his retirement Survivors include his daughter, Brenda Enfinger and her husband Scott Pilot, Ariton, two brothers Frank Ivey, Enterprise and Howard Ivey, Ozark four grandchildren Freda Ivey Hutchinson, Jonathan Barlow, Amanda Gonzalez, and Jamie Enfinger. One great grandson Elijah Johnson. Several nieces and nephews also survive.In In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to assist the family with funeral expenses to the Fred Ivey Funeral Fund, C/O Holman Funeral Home, 995 South Union Avenue, Ozark, Alabama 36360.
