Obituary of Charles Fred Holmes

Mr. Holmes was a native of Dothan, Alabama. He received a Masters Degree in Education from the University of Cincinnati. He was the Athletic Director at Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina for 10 years, then moved to Dale County where he was the Principal at Echo School, then moved to Crystal River, Florida where he served as Principal, and on to Orange Park, Florida. He was in charge of Adult Education until his retirement. He returned to the Post Oak Community where he was engaged in cattle and farming operations. He was a member of Bridlewood Chapel in Ozark. He was preceded in death by one son, Charles Edmund Holmes, two sisters, Alma Holmes Sollie and Katie Nell Holmes Potts, one brother, Reverend Robert Moody Holmes.
