Obituary of Mary Lou Arnold

Please share a memory of Mary to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Mary Lou dedicated her life to service. After raising her children she returned to school to complete her education in speech therapy at Auburn University at the age of 51. After graduating with honors she taught with love and devotion for 11 years in the Barbour County School District. Mary Lou also loved her community and served as the Secretary of the Chitlin Jamboree for six years. Her service in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was extensive, including work with the youth and young adults. Mary Lou was a world traveler and believed that service should extend beyond the local community. She played an active role in making quilts, toys, and providing financial support to those less fortunate around the world. Her beautiful cross stitch and quilting brought joy to friends and family. Mary Lou will be remembered fondly by those she served and loved. Service Information
