Mrs. Agnes Eldessie Ard, age 93, of Lake Wales, Florida, formerly of Ozark, died September 26, 2007. A graveside service for Mrs. Ard was held at 10:00 A. M. Monday, October 1, 2007, in Bersheba Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Ard was born December 9, 1913 in Dale County to the late Lee and Cloe Griggs Johnston, making her home in Lake Wales since 1949. She was a homemaker who enjoyed quilting and sewing. Mrs. Ard was of the Baptist Faith. Survivors include her daughter, Joan Underwood of Lake Wales; her son, Doug Ard of Lake Wales; and her sister, Myrtle Carpenter of Ozark. Four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren also survive.
