Mr. Bast graduated from Daleville High School in 1973, received his A. A. Degree from Georgia Military College, his B. A. Degree and Masters in History and Education from Troy State University. He was in the United States Army from 1977 until 1988. Following his military service, he taught history in Volusia County, Florida until becoming disabled.
