Mrs. Sherry Johnston McAlister of Daleville, died Tuesday morning, December 7, 2004, in Flowers Hospital following a brief battle with cancer. The family will receive friends at Holman Funeral Home in Ozark Saturday, December 11, 2004 from 12:00 Noon until 3:00 P. M. Mrs. McAlister was a native of Grand Junction, Colorado, having lived in Arvada, Colorado where she graduated from high school. She traveled extensively during her early years, settling in Daleville in 1983 with her late husband, Johnny L. McAlister. She was a volunteer with Wiregrass Hospice of Enterprise. Survivors include her daughter, Ann Hudson-Taylor and her husband, Billy Taylor, Buffalo, Iowa, her son, Lawrence (Tony) Molnar, El Paso, Texas, her step-son, Michael McAlister, Anderson, South Carolina, her step-mother, Babe Johnston, Arvada, Colorado, her brother, Russ Palmer and his wife, Doris, Virginia Beach, Virginia. Ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren also survive. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made in her memory to Wiregrass Hospice, 557 Glover Avenue, Enterprise, Alabama 36330.
