Mrs. Ila Miller Gamble, age 84, of Ozark, died Friday evening, February 1, 2008, in Ozark Health and Rehabilitation Center following an extended illness. Funeral services will be graveside at 11:00 A. M. Monday, February 4, 2008, in Woodlawn Memory Gardens with Reverend Harry Circle officiating. Interment will follow, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. Mrs. Gamble was born October 3, 1923, in Dale County to the late Jewel German Miller and Green L. Miller. She worked with the Army and Air Force Exchange Service at Fort Rucker for over 25 years until her retirement. Mrs. Gamble was a lifelong member of Ozark Baptist Church. She was known for her kindness, generosity, and her love for her family. She enjoyed gardening above all things and had a "green thumb". In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gamble was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow F. Gamble, Sr., and three sisters, Arlene Dasinger, Voncille Campbell, and Eva Leah Miller. Survivors include four sons and two daughters-in-law, Woodrow F. "Woody" and Kathy Gamble of Bay Minette, Alabama, Jeff and Gail Gamble, Terry Gamble, and Greg Gamble of Ozark; one very special friend and caregiver, Denise Gray of Newton; three special nephews, Bobby Dasinger, Jimmy Dasinger, Randy Dasinger and their families all of Midland City. Several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and other relatives also survive. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made in her memory to Ozark Baptist Church, Mary Martha Sunday School Class, 282 South Union Avenue, Ozark, Alabama 36360. Service Information
