Please share a memory of NAOMI to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Mrs. Weimer was born July 28, 1911, the second child of Harvey A. Jones and Nettie Sanford Jones. Except for about twenty years, she lived her entire life in Alabama, mostly in Dale County. A prize-winning artist, she won several awards for her oil paintings. Especially fond of travel, she visited many places around the world and often painted the landscapes that she had seen. She loved children and helped with the children's homes. Mrs. Weimer moved back to Ariton in 1967, publishing and editing "The Ariton Bugle" until her health caused her retirement. She was involved in many Ariton civic projects and was a member of Ariton Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Weimer, her parents, Harvey A. Jones and Nettie Sanford Jones, two sisters, Mildred Dickerson and Johnnie Florence Nanni, three brothers, Robert Jones, Raymond Jones, and Harvey Jones, Jr. Service Information
