Mark and I often worked out together at the Downtown YMCA. He was very kind and reserved. I remember his dedication to his work and his love for his friends. I regret that I did not come to know him better during the time we worked out.
I remember so well his work to help his family and others during the flood of Coffee County. He cared for others with all his heart, and his heart was big. His loss is a loss for us all.
May his memory be a blessing.

Mark and I were close friends in law school. He had remarkable intellect and a subtle sense of humor. We shared many good laughs together. Mark was deeply thoughtful, kind, and caring. His death is a tragic loss.

Mark was the very first attorney to introduce himself to me when I began my career at MCG. From that first meeting, he took me under his wing and always looked out for me. When my dog passed away and I expressed to him that I wanted to adopt another animal, he found a wonderful Great Dane puppy for me(Libby). I remember fondly meeting him, Perry and their Great Dane PC in the park one Sunday so our Danes could run and play together. Mark and I shared many mutual friends and we all overwhelming agree that he had one of the biggest hearts of anyone we ever knew. I will miss his drop by visits to my office to discuss current events or to just say hello, but most of all, I will miss his friendship. Dear Strength family and Perry...please know you are in my constant thoughts and prayers. Mark I miss you!

Like everyone, I am devistated at the loss of such a wonderful person and such a huge part of my life. I'm not sure how I will fill the void left by Mark's abscence. The past 8 years we have spent together...playing and caring for our dogs (Sally, Bennett, Huck) and cat (Tom), spending time at the lake, remodeling our house, working on our rental houses, enjoying time away from our work, Land Rovers... have been the most precious moments of my life and I will cling to them forever. My heart is broken and I will never fully recover from this staggering event. The thoughts and prayers of Mark's family, friends, and collegues at MCG have comforted me and held me up over the past week and I can't express in words what the overwhelming response to his passing has meant. I know Mark is watching over us all and I hope he is at peace. Mark, I will always love you and hold you dear. PAB

I worked on the 25th floor with Mark and I always enjoyed our few but interesting conversations. He was very honest and a straight forward guy and I respected him for that. He will be greatly missed for a very long time to come. In Christ! Susan

Mark was very special, loved by many and will be missed every day in ways too numerous to imagine. I pray that he is now at peace and his friends and family find strength and comfort in their memories of Mark and in knowing that he had positive impact on so many people during his life. As much as I will miss him, I know that I have been truly blessed to have had a chance to know him at all. God bless, Robin

Mark was a wonderful person and I will miss him greatly. We were just a few offices from each other and would talk often about work and a variety of other topics. Mark was smart, honest, loyal and always willing to lend a hand. I have been and will continue to pray for his family and loved ones and that they may feel and receive the comfort and peace that only the Lord can provide.

I knew Mark for 20 years. He recruited me to Maynard Cooper because we both were raised in the Wiregrass. My wife and I will miss him greatly. I will always remember riding in his red BMW, cutting down trees for firewood in a national forest (not realiizing we were breaking the law), working out at Barrett's Gym and the winter storm of 1993 when Mark was nice enough to let Gay and me stay with him for several nights since he had a gas fireplace and we had no heat at all. Mark always cared more about those around him than he did himself. If I ever needed help, Mark was always there. I wish I had been there for him more. I pray Mark is watching me type this now and knows how much I miss him.

Rev. & Mrs. Strength and family, I am so sorry for your loss. Mark was a very special person with so much to give. While I wasn't a close friend, I did work on his floor and he made it a point to come by my office regularly to inquire about my son who was serving in Iraq. I can't tell you how much his concern meant to me. Please know he will be sorely missed here on the 25th floor. My prayers are with all of you. Teresa Adams

I am heartsick about Mark. Though I have not spoken to him directly for a while, I worked with him for 17 years at MC&G and considered him to be a good friend. He was one of the few people I felt comfortable telling confidential or personal problems. He was a special person and I will miss him. Mine and my husband's prayers are with all of you.

Dear Strength Family: Although Mark and I did not have the same legal practice here at the firm, I have known Mark from the beginning of his practice here. I recall fondly the first few years of his work, when his office was next to mine and when he was doing litigation work. He was so passionate about the work and so dedicated to his clients whose legal positions he was advocating, it was refreshing. We also shared a love of science fiction and particularly Star Trek. It was only a week or two ago that he shared with me the trailer for the upcoming Star Trek movie. I shall miss Mark greatly, his dry sense of humor and all the gifts he brought to the law firm. Our clients whom Mark worked so hard and long for will also miss him. I pray that God will heal your hurt and pain, and help you, and all of us, to rejoice in his life, not grieve in his death.

Rev. and Mrs. Strength, It was so sad to hear of Mark's death. I sat across from him several years when I was on the 25th floor and we would talk sometimes. I didn't know Mark very well until then, but found out that he was a very loving and caring person. He spoke of his family sometimes and I know he loved you all very much. I am so sorry for your loss, and still cannot believe he is not with us anymore. He will be missed at work as well as by you.
