Obituary of Christopher Mark Strength

Mr. Christopher Mark Strength, age 45, of Birmingham, formerly of Ozark, died Thursday, February 7, 2008. Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Friday, February 15, 2008, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend Dr. Hayes McKay officiating. Interment will follow in Shiloh Cemetery in Clayhatchee, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 A. M. Friday until service time. Mr. Strength was born October 28, 1962 in Ozark. He graduated with honors from Enterprise High School; The University of South Alabama receiving his B. A. Degree in 1985; and The University of Alabama School of Law in 1988 with the following honors, Order of the Coif, Dean M. Leigh Harrison Award, Hugo L. Black Scholar, and was the Managing Editor of Alabama Law Review. He was a member of The American Bar Association, The Alabama State Bar Association, and The Birmingham Bar Association. Mr. Strength worked as an adjunct University of Alabama School of Law faculty member, teaching the Corporate Finance course. He was current working with Maynard Cooper & Gale PC where his practice areas were Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation, ERISA and Group Insurance Litigation, Governmental and Regulatory Affairs, Health Care, and Tax. He was preceded in death by his brother, Bradley Eric Strength. Survivors include his parents, Reverend Jim and Bonnie Sullivan Strength of Ozark; one sister and brother-in-law, Freida and Ronald Mailhiot of Bettendorf, Iowa; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Dr. Jon F. Strength, Dr. Naaman and Angela Strength, all of Dothan; three nieces, Kara Mailhiot, Jensen Strength, and Saylor Strength; three nephews, Jacob Mailhiot, Tristen Strength, and Gabriel Strength.
