I met Mr. Smith at New Brockton High School when I was 23 and a first year teacher. It was my only year to teach there. We worked side by side in the same building. He became my mentor and friend. He once allowed me to ride along on a family trip to Biloxi so I could visit my cousins. I am now 60, but I have never forgotten him. RIP Mr. Smith. God bless your family. Becky (Piper) Tucker
We are so sorry to hear that Mr Smitty had past. He will be remember by many. I will always remember him for the joy he provided to our children when he was Santa in the park. He will be missed by many people in Newton. We pray that God help you through these heart felt times. Rest in Peace Mr. Odell.
We are so sorry to hear about Mr. Odell. He was such a great man and I have such great memories of him. Just remember that God is faithful, and he will not let you be tested beyond your strength, but with the testing he will also provide the way out so that you may be able to endure it. We will be praying for everyone and if we can do anything, please let us know.
Words can never convey our feelings of emptiness from your loss. Our prayers go out to the family and friends in belief that God will comfort them and ease their sorrows. We will always remember that he served as a defender for freedom and our great country.
