My thoughts and prayers go out to Dr. Pete's family; I will always have cherished memories of this great man. I was in the Dale County High Band, I met Dr. Pete through Mr. John Christian my band director and former student of Dr. Pete.
Mr. Christian, dedicated the first half time show I was in to Dr. Pete it was his last year at Carroll, man there were so many people out of step and such that we looked like a herd of cattle on the field, well Dr. Pete must have for gave me for that he got me a two year scholarship to Wallace where I had the honor of him being the band director as well.
Nothing but respect along with the honor of having Dr. Pete guide me to my next step in life.
Thank you for sharing this gracious man with all of us that jad the honor of having met and follow him.

Dr. Pete was definitely one of the best teachers in music education. He was one of the best mentors in my life. A man of discipline that instilled life values and encouragement in any aspect of trials and tribulations. The community of Ozark has lost a great and model citizen! His memories will live forever with many people, including myself. Rest In Peace, Dr. Pete! May God and our Savior Jesus Christ console Sue Ellen and his precious family.

I can see him as if it were just yesterday in the band-room of Carroll High School twisting that Auburn ring around his finger, asking for our best and inspiring us to reach for nothing less. He made us feel that PRIDE in the “Pride of The Wiregrass Marching Band”. From the seventh grade through the twelfth and even today his positive influence has been a part of all of our lives.

A teacher, father figure, inspiration, mentor, leader, friend, advisor, boss, supporter, adversary (we had our differences), and everything I can think in regard to the man who was the most influential person in my professional life. He is one person whom I often think of and will remember and appreciate always as will others who knew him. Thank You Pete !

My heart is so broken. Dr. Mosley was such an inspiration to me from being a part of “the Pride of the Wiregrass” marching band. That experience taught me discipline, gave me confidence and made me proud to be a part of something that was bigger than me and excited to be a part of it. Dr. Mosley had the uncanny ability to cause a group of teenagers to want to be and to do their very best. This has impacted my life so, that I still feel it today. He will surely be missed by many.

Our memories of Pete go back to the seventh grade with the band. Pete was hard but fair with us during the band years instilling great values in us. He has touched more lives I can count through the years in Ozark. May his soul rest in peace with our Heavenly Father our Lord Jesus Christ. Rest in peace Pete. May we always remember Pete's famous words, "Let's do it one more time".
