I am sorry to hear of the passing of a wonderful man. A good man who took in his nephew, Bobby Hefner, my father, at a young age and along with his his wonderful wife, unselfishly raised him up to a young man. Carl was my dad's real life hero, a great man whom he admired and respected like no one else. He talked to me often about the influence he and Julia made on his life. Thank God for sharing him and making a difference in Dad's life. Rest in peace Uncle Carl. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of his family.
