I am very sorry to hear about Betty's passing. Over the years growing up I always heard stories about Betty and other members of the family. I remember seeing her at those 1st Sunday in May singings. (As a child, I hated going to those things but sure wish I could do them over now!) It saddens me with each loss of the family matriarchs. It is those women who glue the family together. They are the best cooks, babysitters, therapists, and grandmothers in the world! We dont have many like them anymore. In my heart I imagine them in Heaven at one big 1st Sunday in May singing. Margie, Aunt Eva Mae, Betty Jo,my granny,Granny Tharpe and so many others; and now Betty. I bet they are having a singing like nothing we could imagine! Although I know you will miss her deeply.
